well. decided to add some real meat to this...
everyone's currently in some tele-conference so i'm taking advantage of the situation,
before i have to submit this lengthy expense report for this Shanghai trip of my boss's.
Gotta brush up on mother tongue haha...
anyhow. today's topic for reflection. why's that people in Raffles Place never seem to be smiling?
haha brought up from my friends who so wonderfully come down for just a short hour with me to lunch.
don't think it's the dreary april weather, do you? because they were like that in march and before.
perhaps it's something to do with the singaporean lifestyle. we only care about ourselves and are so pre-occupied
with our inner thoughts that we forget to
smile to brighten up the lives of those around us.
one of my expat colleagues told me no one's ever struck up a conversation with him in the MRT or any other public transport.
i guess i wouldn't either, i mean start a conversation with a total stranger on the bus, not my colleague :)
is it too much to ask Singaporeans to change? hmmmm.
