yes so i'm terribly guilty of not blogging for the longest while. so i'll try to make up for it with an array of photographic memories of the past hectic month, hope you guys will forgive me (haha especially the ucc people who always keep track of how often one posts) :) right now i sit at my desk, slathered head to toe with banana boat aloe vera after-sun gel. got severely sunburnt after a threedaytwonight stint at bintan from the 1st to the 3rd of january, the young adults retreat for my church. it was quite a blast.... the best holidays are when you lose all sense of real time and when you come back people keep asking what day it is. the above photograph is taken by me when we were playing with fireworks on the last night.. despite the slight drizzle the fireworks took off magnificently. and on the last day, the 3rd, we went kayaking and played frisbee in the high tide - what a wonderful beach it was when the sun's shining brightly :) and i haven't gotten so burnt in the longest while. blame it on everyone - noone remembered to bring sunblock!

from the 14th to the 21st my mom and i went to hongkong - a first for us both... we shopped until our legs were wont to break - and in the mornings i'd wake with a network of fine blue veins visible through translucent skin - totally gross i tell you. walking and walking in boots from morning till late night is no joke - talk about torture for fashion's sake haha :) here's us and dear jovian in cute paul frank festive beanie whom we met up with at famous lan kwai fong.. a place that's similar to holland village in singapore but MUCH more vibrant and teeming with activity - so many bright lights and suspended santas due to the christmas season!
yeah i know this photograph looks like those old overexposed ones - the fact is there was a double flash from other cameras going off all at once. here's a photograph of mil, me, terrance, vincent and my mother at terrance and vincent's wedding dinner at regal riverside hotel :) it was so wonderful to see them again, along with everyone else that i'd made friends with in irving, texas - clement, jazz, alan, ernest, and so forth. if ever i felt texas was but a dream, these people and their solid friendships reinforce the fact that i was really there.
mimi and i shopping in hongkong! nuff' said.
